macOS Gatekeeper Installation Guide

FileManagerX is distributed outside the Mac App Store and is not notarized through Apple's paid Developer ID program. When opening the app for the first time, macOS Gatekeeper may display a security prompt stating that the app is from an unidentified developer.

How to Open FileManagerX on macOS:

  1. Download and open the FileManagerX.dmg file.
  2. Drag FileManagerX.app into your Applications folder.
  3. Right-click (or Control-click) FileManagerX.app in Applications and select Open.
  4. Click Open in the macOS security dialog.
  5. Alternatively: If blocked, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down to the Security section, and click Open Anyway.
